On Tuesday, 01 January 2019 @ 10:00, Mrs. Jean Kubala, our much adored UUFBC matriarch, is going to host her traditional Bread and Butter brunch at her home to ring in the New Year.

Freshly baked bread, butter, coffee, and refreshments and plenty of conversation will be available; feel free to bring an item to add to the table, but it is not mandatory!

* A great, big thank you goes to Ms. Jean... and all those who attended. This was a beautiful way to begin this year.*

ThirdCoastActivist.org is a great resource for local activist- related events and  The subject matter is varied and relevant to current events.

Love Resists Campaign is a UUA- centered resource through UUA.org. Please visit the UUA website for inspiration and elaboration.

Recycle. Reuse. Reduce.

Choose love first.

Families belong together. Children belong with their parents. Seeking asylum is not a justification for the infliction of even more trauma on those who seek safety.

Recognize the humanity of your fellow human beings.

We disavow violence and the intent to express opinions of difference and dominion through violent actions.

We wish all those affected by violence and hate incidents abundant strength, a road toward healing, and peace. We pray for the day that the violence will cease and all can fully realize that:

E pluribus unum.

"Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it."

“As you walk and eat and travel, be where you are. Otherwise you will miss most of your life.”

“Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”

“To conquer oneself is a greater task than conquering others.”

“Imagine that every person in the world is enlightened but you. They are all your teachers, each doing just the right things to help you.”

“Set your heart on doing good. Do it over and over again and you will be filled with joy.”

Please remember to fill out your pledge sheets and make your monthly donation of record. You can find pledge sheets at the UU. If funds are tight, we ask for an affordable donation, and, if you can, a hands- on service in lieu of money; we have plenty of chores to do. Thank you.
