UPCOMING EVENTS:

*** GREAT NEWS!!! *** Coming to the UUFBC very soon, the UU Uke Club!

We will have practices on the 4th Saturday of each month, alternating with a field trip to Austin Uke Society's meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Our first practice date remains to be announced. In the meantime, if you have a uke or have wanted to play one, here's an opportunity! Everyone starts out with one note at a time; you do not have to be a pro. Ukulele make joyful noises; the songs are varied and truly entertaining, from old standards to modern music.

A ukulele will be required, of course :). Hoping to see "UU" there ! :)

Our first practice will be at the UU on Saturday, 26 May 2018, at 10 AM... looking forward to seeing you there!

From Deanna Wolff, caring/hospitality chair:

We have a  sign-up sheet on the refrigerator door for those of you to bring snacks.

We would love to see new names on there instead of the regular 8.

We don't need anything fancy, just put some cookies in your grocery cart the next time you go shopping.

***NEW LETTER FROM DEANNA WOLFF***

Have been sending birthday, anniversary, and get well cards to the members, but in haste to do my taxes, sell a house, andgo on vacation, I shredded the list I had with the birth month. If any of the members would like a card or to inform me of special events, please leave me a text on my phone (254-444-1112) with just the month and family members and nothing else. Sorry folks, but too much going on for a frazzled mind. Thank you.

*********************************************************************************************

We have a Welcoming Committee! The members are Lanell Mikeska and Cindy Brown. They sure could use a hand, so if you would like to start off our new UU year by volunteering, let either one of them know. Welcomers make a huge difference in newcomer experience! Cindy will be at the business meeting so come and speak with her.
