(Not Just) Christmas in July Kids'(s) camp, every Sunday, 10am, this July. Stay cool as we explore five winter holidays that bring in the Light. We have celebrated Diwali and Hanukkah, and Soyaluna;  a Christmas lesson/ celebration remains. We could use an adult to assist. Thank you.

If you  are a member and would like to have birthdays, anniversaries, or any other special events acknowledged, please leave a text to (254-444-1112). You only have to send the month if a birthday. Include family member names if relevant to your celebration. Lastly, please be sure to state what the event is.

We have a Welcoming Committee! The members are Deanna Wolff,Lanell Mikeska and Cindy Brown. They sure could use a hand, so if you would like to start off our new UU year by volunteering, let either one of them know.

A note from the choir: We would love to have more members to round out our voices! If you would like to join us, speak with Lanell Mikeska or Sheila Oliver.

To Hulda, Amy, and Stephanie Burgar, for the loss of their beloved Father and Grandfather.

We are grateful to have shared time with you all together, to have spent some time with your Dad/ Granddad, and wish comfort unto you all in this time of change in your lives.

If you would, UU family, please light a candle in honor of this family's loss. We will announce any needs that arise as they come so that we can offer ourselves in service. Thank you.

ThirdCoastActivist.org is a great resource for local events. The subject matter is varied and relevant to current events.

Love Resists Campaign is a UUA- centered resource through UUA.org.

Give someone an unexpected compliment.

Take a minute to make someone smile.

If you see something that needs change, never think that you are too insignificant to change it. Someone else may have thought the same thing and feared acting upon it- but could be very grateful for your courage.

Recycle. Reuse. Reduce.

Choose love first.

Families belong together.

Seeking the opportunity to survive is not a crime.

I am but a drop of water. Alone, I would disappear. Dried up by the scorching sun, or sucked up by the dry, thirsty Earth. But together, we can wear out stones, carve out the Grand Canyon, make streams and rivers, and find our way to the sea.

There will no longer be an email newsletter. All services, events, and pertinent information will be available here.

Updates and last- minute information can be found on the Members and Friends and public Facebook pages.

Thank you Jane, so much, for all you have done keeping us so very well informed. This website will always endeavor to follow the beacon of your example.

Please remember to fill out your pledge sheets. You can find one at the UU. If funds are tight, we ask for a small donation of record, and if you can, to please volunteer a hands- on service in lieu of money; we have plenty of chores to do. Thank you.
